Maritz spreads holiday cheer with new, socially-generated children’s storybook
Maritz Canada Inc. & Maritz Loyalty Marketing announce the release of A Tru Story, an original, user-generated children’s storybook, created as a holiday gift for the children helped by Parents for Better Beginnings, as well as for Maritz’ clients, suppliers, employees and friends across the world.
This year Maritz invited people everywhere to join them in co-creating an original storybook for children, to tell a common story about remaining true to themselves, to others they care about and the things that matter. Digital contributors worldwide helped shape the story by having a say online, by email, Facebook and Twitter. The result was A Tru Story.
Leveraging true loyalty, the notion that aligns the Maritz business, where a value exchange takes place between customers, consumers and brands to create a loyal relationship was the inspiration for the book. It was also a way for Maritz to collaborate with its community and share in a creative experience in celebration of the holidays. Maritz accomplished this by posting 8 questions on Twitter and Facebook, asking people to vote to direct the character, setting and plot development. The end result is a story that reflects on the significance of loyalty between friends.

A hard-copy of A Tru Story will be presented as a holiday gift to children assisted by Parents for Better Beginnings, a charitable organization Maritz has partnered with for almost 20 years. A soft copy was shared with Maritz clients, employees and suppliers through Maritz’ digital holiday card.
