Grubhub Partners with Homewood Suites by Hilton on Food Delivery at U.S. Hotels

Mobile food ordering and delivery platform Grubhub announced a partnership with extended-stay hotel brand Homewood Suites by Hilton to increase off-site dining options for guests. The partnership is designed to simplify food ordering and delivery for guests at hotel locations that do not have on-premises dining options.

Improving the dining experience at Homewood Suites properties, the partnership will allow guests to order from local restaurants and convenience stores on Grubhub using geolocation and QR codes around the property. Creating a seamless experience, the hotel location and drop-off instructions automatically populate during checkout. Participants in the program’s pilot noted higher overall satisfaction with the speed of ordering and delivery.

"Travel and food go hand-in-hand, and we're excited to work with Hilton to be their go-to meal delivery provider and make it easier for guests to discover new restaurants from the comfort of their room," says Eric Ferguson, chief operations officer at Grubhub. "Whether a guest is craving a meal, wants a quick snack or needs an item they may have forgotten at home, they'll be able to access Grubhub's robust network of restaurants and convenience stores at the touch of a button. From our pilot of this program, we saw that orders from small and mid-sized businesses accounted for more than half of all orders, and we're proud to support local communities and restaurants through this partnership."

The partnership is available at all participating Homewood Suites by Hilton locations in the U.S. Additionally, guests who use the service will receive one free month of Grubhub’s loyalty program — Grubhub+.
