Duck Donuts has introduced Duck Donuts Rewards, a mobile loyalty program operated by LevelUp. The app, which is available through the Apple Store or Google Play, is designed to work seamlessly with the brand’s existing point-of-sale technology.

Duck Donuts Rewards members can use the app to place orders ahead of coming to a store and then bypass the line or scan the app to pay in store.

“We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Duck Donuts Rewards, giving us the opportunity to further engage and reward our loyal guests with our point-based system,” said Russ DiGilio, Duck Donuts founder and CEO. “Duck Donuts Rewards provides a mobile-friendly user experience and convenient way to enjoy our warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts. Having the ability to order donuts and earn rewards in the same app truly streamlines the checkout experience for our customers.”

Duck Donuts advises that members will earn five points for each dollar spent. Customers will have the opportunity to reach different status levels, with each triggering different rewards. To reward signups, new members will receive a free donut after their first purchase. Other bonuses include a free donut on the member’s birthday and surprises throughout the year.

Duck Donuts indicates the following rewards will be unlocked at each status level.

  • Welcome: Free customized donut after first purchase
  • Fantasduck: Earn 300 points and choose between a free donut or medium coffee
  • Incrediduck: Earn 600 points and enjoy two free donuts and a medium coffee
  • Magnifiduck: Earn 1,200 points to earn a free half dozen
  • Stependuck: Earn 2,250 points to receive a free dozen donuts

“Our goal is to increase customer frequency, drive consumer behaviors and continue to grow brand awareness,” April Hoelscher, Duck Donuts director of marketing, said. “We anticipate receiving strong consumer-driven data that will give us a better insight into our target audiences, allowing us to best meet the needs of our loyal guests.”

Founded in Duck, North Carolina in 2006, Duck Donuts began franchising in 2013 – and the brand has been growing rapidly ever since. According to the franchising page of its website, “Duck Donuts is currently set to have over 225 stores in 26 states.”

We at Loyalty360 would expect this new program to only enhance the connection, engagement, and loyalty between Duck Donuts and its increasing number of fans.
