BARK Expands with New Larger Flights for Dogs and Their Owners

The beloved dog brand BARK has announced the expansion of its unique air travel service, BARK Air, designed for dogs and their owners. In partnership with Air Wisconsin, the service will now offer flights on larger aircraft with at least double the capacity. The expanded flights will connect New York City with Miami/Fort Lauderdale beginning in February 2025, with fares priced under $1,000. The routes are available for booking now, providing a more convenient and affordable travel option for pet parents seeking winter getaways with their dogs.

BARK Co-Founder and CEO Matt Meeker said, “Since May 2024, we’ve had the honor of flying dogs and their families together, and we’ve listened to their feedback and learned how best to serve our passengers. Working with Air Wisconsin marks an exciting step forward, allowing us to accommodate more passengers on a larger aircraft while significantly reducing our prices. These flights are a major milestone in bringing our dream of dog-centric air travel to even more families.”

The new BARK Air flights will operate on CRJ-200 aircraft, which offer increased capacity to accommodate more dogs per flight. The expansion aligns with BARK’s vision of making air travel more accessible for dog owners while maintaining its signature “white paw” service. The addition of these larger planes comes after months of feedback from passengers, allowing BARK to refine its services and better meet the needs of its dog-loving clientele. The Miami/Fort Lauderdale route was specifically chosen due to the high demand for travel to sunny Florida destinations during the cold months. Since its launch in May 2024, BARK Air has revolutionized air travel for dogs and their human families, with flights to various destinations, including Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and London. The service continues to grow, offering a streamlined and safe travel experience, complete with personalized assistance from a dedicated flight concierge for each dog passenger.
