Del Taco Revamps its Customer Rewards Program
Del Taco has enhanced its customer rewards program with new offers and reduced point thresholds so guests can earn rewards easier and faster. Rewards members can level up through four tiers with their own special rewards. When achieving a new tier, guests will earn vanity badges, rewards for free items after completing frequency punch cards, and earn bonus points by completing polls, surveys, and more.
“While other loyalty programs are making it more expensive for the guest to get rewarded, we wanted to thank our guests by gifting them food faster through our new lower point threshold tiers,” said Tim Hackbardt, Del Taco’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Upon joining Del Yeah! Rewards, new members will immediately receive an offer for two free Del Tacos and start earning points right away. Depending on the rewards tier they are in, Del Yeah! Rewards members earn 8-12 points per dollar spent. Tiers consist of Queso, Scorcho, Inferno, and Epic, which are each designed with special rewards that increase in value as the guest levels up into higher tiers. Rewards to level up faster have been reduced as follows:
-
Queso To Scorcho – Was 500 points, now 250 points.
-
Scorcho To Inferno – Was 1,500 points, now 1,000 points.
-
Inferno To Epic – Was 3,000 points, now 2,000 points.
Hagerty Insurance on customer loyalty in specialty car sphere
Creating strong customer loyalty is important for every industry, but when it comes to passionate customers like classic car collectors a focus on loyalty is imperative.
"If you want to be a leader in a category, you need to have a real stake in the intellectual high ground,” said McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty Insurance. “We started on the valuation side: data is so rich now, especially as we've grown. On the media side, we decided there's still a place for high quality content, and the results prove that thesis: our magazine (Hagerty Driver's Club) is the second-highest circulation car magazine of any kind in the world."
Hagerty focuses on three pillars of valuation, media, and events to stay relevant to customers and improve customer loyalty. Major car shows, club car shows, cars and coffee events, wherever car people gather, Hagerty strives to be top of mind. While not a major revenue driver, events like these help build community and customer loyalty and referrals through service and relevance.
