Lay’s Relaunches No Lays No Game Campaign with Soccer Legends Beckham and Henry

With an exciting fusion of snacking, sports, and technology, Lay’s is launching a return of its No Lay’s No Game campaign, which promises to bring lots of fun and adventure while rewarding game-day-ready soccer fans with the classic Lay’s chips throughout the season.

Ciara Dilley, vice president of marketing at Global Foods Group at PepsiCo, stated: “We’ve heard from soccer fans from all over the world, and they tell us the same thing: whether watching with a group of friends or at home solo, the experience is always better when sharing a bag of Lay’s. This year, No Lay’s No Game is giving fans even more reasons to have Lay’s in hand. For those who do, something truly remarkable might happen. And those who don’t? They may be left missing out.”

At the heart of the Lay’s campaign launch was a surprise for 75,000 fans during a UEFA match between PSG and AC Milan at the San Siro Stadium. The promotional behind-the-scenes live video was filmed before kickoff and features soccer legends, Thierry Henry and David Beckham.  Beckham and Henry solicit help from the Chip Cam and embark on a search for fans

holding the iconic yellow bag of chips. As the cameras scan the crowd, many excited fans, wanting to be selected, flash their bags of Lays. A lucky father and daughter were chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and were invited to watch the game with the two soccer superstars.

The No Lay’s No Game momentum will continue throughout the 2023-2024 UEFA season. Fans in the stands and at home will have a chance to win, and Lay’s has partnered with Meta to create the “Lay’s Detector,” a digital initiative for soccer fans at home. Fans must scan a QR code during a No Lay’s No Game commercial or on one of Lay’s social media channels to unlock the Lay’s Detector, which will have users confirm they have Lay’s chips in hand to qualify for a chance to win tickets for the UCL Men’s Finals at England’s prestigious Wembley Stadium.
