Natural Grocers® has announced a new pricing campaign called “Even More Affordable Prices!” covering more than 500 natural and organic grocery items across its 168 stores nationwide. The promotion runs through December 31, 2025, and is aimed at helping shoppers on tighter budgets access organic/free-range/whole-food staples.
As part of the campaign, the company highlights a number of standout deals exclusive to its free {N}power® member rewards program: for example, free-range eggs at $1.99 per dozen (limit one), select butters (8 oz) at $3.99 (limit one), and organic avocados at $0.99 each (limit three). In addition to these “quarterly deals,” there will be bi-weekly rotating specials (five items every two weeks) and broad lower pricing on over 500 items.

Choice Hotels International Debuts in Australia
Choice Hotels International announced the debut of its extended-stay brand MainStay Suites™ in Australia, marking the brand’s first expansion beyond North America. The rollout begins with seven new properties across Australian locations including Melbourne, Whyalla, Mackay and Townsville, adding 581 rooms to its portfolio. With this launch, Choice Hotels strengthens its position in the Australian market, bringing its total there to 163 hotels and 7,487 rooms and making it one of the largest direct-franchise players in the country.
This move is driven by growing demand in Australia for extended-stay accommodation among business, healthcare, government, and construction travelers. MainStay Suites is designed to meet that demand by offering apartment-style amenities, including fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, and dedicated workspaces, combined with the convenience of a hotel setting.
To deliver this launch, Choice Hotels has entered into a direct franchising agreement with Extended STAY Australasia, a company with 30+ years of experience in serviced apartments and extended-stay operations in the region. Extended STAY Australasia will bring its local operational expertise to the table under the MainStay brand’s model.

PetSmart Marks National Adoption Week with Find Your BOO
PetSmart is marking its annual National Adoption Week from October 20-26, 2025, under the theme “Find Your BOO” to align with the Halloween season. The events will be held in PetSmart stores across the U.S, in partnership with local animal-welfare groups. The goal is to invite potential pet adopters to meet dogs, cats, kittens and puppies in person, and help find them loving homes.
According to the 2025 Hill’s Pet Nutrition State of Shelter Pet Adoption Report, in 2024, approximately 5.8 million animals entered shelters in the U.S., and shelters have now experienced more admissions than placements for five years in a row, resulting in growing populations and longer stays for many pets. To help address this, PetSmart Charities emphasizes that adoption during this week not only brings a new pet into someone’s life but also assists shelters by reducing overcrowding and supporting the welfare infrastructure.
PetSmart Charities also points to its long-term impact: for more than 30 years it has facilitated in-store adoption programs and has helped over 11 million pets find homes to date. "We see National Adoption Week as another tangible way of connecting people with animal companions while supporting the lifesaving work of our shelter partners nationwide.
