U.S. Bank Launches New Rewards Card, Altitude Connect

U.S. Bank is introducing the Altitude Connect Visa Signature Card as more Americans are gearing up to hit the road and fly the skies to reconnect with family, friends and destinations.

This bank says the new card will help consumers earn more points faster on travel purchases – everything from airlines to hotels, to car services or vacation home rentals – as well as everyday purchases such as groceries, gas, food delivery and streaming.

“The desire to get out and reconnect is palpable,” said Steve Mattics, head of retail payments at U.S. Bank. “We share our customers’ optimism about the possibility of returning to travel, whether by air or road trips. We’re delighted to offer a way for customers to earn more points for their spend and use those rewards however they want to use them – whether it’s for travel, cash back or merchandise.”

Altitude Connect rewards the adventurous spirit with 5X points on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Altitude Rewards Center, 4X points on travel and at gas stations and 2X points at grocery stores and grocery delivery and on dining, takeout and food delivery. Streaming services like Netflix or Spotify® also earn 2X points, with a $30 annual statement credit for streaming service purchases, and up to $100 in statement credits for TSA PreCheck® or Global Entry® application fee.

Points never expire, and can be used for travel, gift cards, instant redemption, cash back, merchandise and more.  As part of the launch, new card customers will receive a welcome bonus of 50,000 points when they spend $3,000 in the first 120 days.
