Robert Thompson, Papa John’s senior vice president of marketing, told Loyalty360 that, “as part of our ‘Better’ brand promise, we are always exploring ways to improve our overall customer experience. We were the first pizza national pizza brand to launch a nationwide digital rewards program, Papa Rewards, and we like to surprise and delight our Papa Rewards fans with special offers.”

Papa Rewards Perks is designed to offer existing members a no hassles bonus opportunity to quickly earn and burn points and introduces an even better value to new members to drive new membership, Thompson noted.

“Newly enrolled and existing Papa Rewards members who visit the website can also explore a new personal dashboard experience, which makes it simple to manage rewards, favorites, past orders, and profile details,” Thompson explained. “Listening to our customers is extremely important to Papa John’s. The customer experience will never exceed the team member experience. We’re proud that for fifteen of the past seventeen years, consumers have rated Papa John'’ No. 1 in customer satisfaction among all national pizza chains in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).”

What’s more, Papa John’s was recently awarded Technomic’s 2017 Chain Restaurant Consumer Choice Award for use of technology improves the experience.

Papa John’s was the first in the pizza category to launch a nationwide digital rewards program in 2010, Papa Rewards.

“Over the years, we’ve unveiled several digital innovations to improve our customer experience,” Thompson added. “We completely redesigned our website and now are one of only a few brands in the category with a fully responsive site. In addition, we redesigned our iOS app and have significantly improved our rating among users and against the competition. We have more orders coming from mobile than ever before and we relaunched our Papa Rewards loyalty program with new redemption options, including side items, to add value and variety for all of our customers. The revamped program includes multi-rewards layers starting at 10 points. We are continually looking at ways to provide even more value to the program based on consumer feedback. Just recently, we added Papa Rewards Perks as well as a new personal dashboard experience which makes it simple to manage rewards, favorites, past orders, and profile details.”
