Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Opens Training & Innovation Center
Freddy’s, known for its cook-to-order steakburgers and freshly churned frozen custard, recently announced the opening of its Wichita, Kansas, Training & Innovation Center. The 23,000-square-foot center will serve as its new corporate headquarters and will be the home base for recording 200 annual podcasts and training videos for Freddy’s team members. The center will provide training on menu innovation, utilization of Freddy’s technology and equipment, consumer focus groups, and product testing.
“We’re thrilled to open the doors to our Training & Innovation Center, with a state-of-the-art design built to represent the future of the Freddy’s franchise,” said Freddy’s CEO Chris Dull. “By equipping our franchise owners and managers with the latest tools and training, we are investing in the continued success of our entire franchise system and ensuring we maintain our commitment to quality and excellence in every location.”
The new center comes as Freddy’s has seen heightened growth and expansion. It will support 17,000 team members across the United States and 533 restaurants across 36 states, with 130 more restaurants in the development stage. Moreover, the center will host 70 potential visits each year for franchisees, in addition to meet-and-greets and conferences for current and prospective franchise owners and managers.

Delta Transforms Remote Worker Experience with Business Travel Loyalty Program
Delta Air Lines hopes to enhance the traveling experience for remote workers through its Delta Business Traveler program.
The program will offer several perks for remote workers, individuals, and small businesses, including bonus miles for Delta bookings, Hertz Five Star Status, and discounts for coworking spaces.
The new program, which is separate from the airline’s existing SkyMiles for Business corporate program, will offer more value for Delta’s SkyMiles members through workspace partnerships. The Business Traveler program is for businesses of all sizes that travel frequently for work.

Grubhub Improves User Experience with Personalization and New App Features
Grubhub is incorporating several new features on its app to enhance the customer ordering journey, including an updated homepage that prioritizes personalization through 30-plus recommendations. For example, the homepage will highlight a customer’s preferred cuisine or merchants estimating that a customer’s order will be delivered in 30 minutes or less. The personalized recommendation carousels were designed by using past conversion and click-through rates, in addition to user data and location.
“With the speed that technology and user expectations change today, advancements that keep Grubhub ahead of the curve and strengthen the user experience are crucial,” said Kiran Chandran, Vice President, Consumer Product, at GrubHub. “We’re proud to keep improving our product with new features that make ordering food easier, faster, and more enjoyable for everyone.”
Other new updates include a virtual wallet that users can access on the Grubhub homepage along with all payment types tied to a user’s account, add-on recommendations during checkout, priority delivery availability for a minimal upcharge, live activity tracking for iOS users wanting to view their order status, and self-service for order resolutions.
