TD Bank Enhances Rewards for TD Cash Secured Credit CardTM
TD Bank made several improvements to its TD Cash Secured Credit Card™, adding similar rewards and benefits as the unsecured TD Cash Credit Card. With the new upgrades, secured cardholders can now earn 3% cash back in their most used category, including dining, grocery stores, entertainment, gas stations, and travel. Cardholders will receive 2% cash back on a second category and 1% on other qualifying purchases. Customers can modify their reward categories quarterly if they choose. All existing secured cardholders will automatically receive the enhanced rewards structure.
“We want to make sure customers have a way to maximize rewards while building their credit history,” said Chris Fred, Head of Credit Cards at TD Bank. “This product helps customers begin their credit journey in a positive way.”
Activity on the TD Cash Secured Credit Card is reported to credit bureaus and requires a security deposit to establish a customer’s credit line. Additionally, cardholders benefit from Visa Signature perks, including cell phone protection and card replacement in an emergency. Customers who build a credit history with the TD Cash Secured Credit Card can be considered for an unsecured TD Cash Credit Card down the line.

7-Eleven Enhances Customer Experience with 7-Select Private Label Brand Additions
7-Eleven offers value to customers while keeping pace with the demand for “functional beverages.” The Irving, Texas-based convenience store chain is expanding its private-label offerings by launching two new functional beverage lines under its 7-Select brand. The latest offerings include 7-Select Fusion Energy and 7-Select Rehydrate. The new Fusion energy drinks are formulated without sugar, artificial colors, or high-fructose corn syrup and are infused with vitamins C, B12, and B6. The Rehydrate drinks include electrolytes and vitamins and are available in cherry, grape, and fruit punch.
“With the launch of our new energy drink, 7-Select Fusion Energy, and the new 7-Select Rehydrate hydration beverage, we’re providing our customers with innovative, high-quality private brand items crafted to energize and refresh,” said Nikki Boyers, Vice President of Private Brands at 7-Eleven.
According to Precedence Research, hydration drinks have seen a 6% increase in sales each year, while data from Circana indicate energy drink sales in convenience stores have risen 10% from May 2023 to May 2024. 7-Eleven’s first-quarter earnings report shows that private-label margins were approximately 19% higher than national brands. Additionally, Circana’s 2024 Pacesetters report showed that beverages accounted for nine of the top 10 new products in the convenience channel, with sports drinks, energy drinks, water, and coffee making the list of popular drinks.

Onvo Named the Official Travel Plaza Sponsor of Penn State Football
Travel plaza and truck stop chain Onvo is partnering with Playfly Sports to officially represent Penn State Football as its Travel Plaza Sponsor for the 2024-2025 season. As part of the deal, there will be block party activations, in-game advertising at Nittany Lion football games, and promotions on game day for game attendees.
