Kohl’s Awards $500,000 to Nonprofits in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties Through Hometown Giving Program 

Kohl’s recently announced donating more than $500,000 to more than 25 local nonprofits in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. The contributions are part of the Kohl’s Cares Hometown Giving Program. The grants, ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 each, will support organizations dedicated to improving family health and wellness across these communities. The recipients were chosen after an open application process. 

Kohl’s Director of Community Relations Tara Geiter said, “Caring about our communities is at the heart of what we do at Kohls, especially during the holiday season. We’re excited to again be granting more than $500,000 to a group of amazing nonprofits in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties who are all finding unique ways to improve the health and wellness of local families.” 

Since the inception of the Kohl’s Cares Hometown Giving Program in 2017, Kohl’s has made more than $3.5M in contributions to 150-plus nonprofits. In all, Kohl’s has contributed more than $160M to the Milwaukee region through various partnerships, the Kohl’s Cares Volunteer Program, and the Kohl’s Cares Hometown Giving Program.

Lou Malnati’s Launches Enhanced Loyalty Program with More Rewards 

Iconic Chicago pizzeria Lou Malnati’s has introduced a revamped loyalty program to offer customers more rewards, faster redemptions, and exclusive benefits. The new loyalty program provides an array of exciting perks, including personalized offers, insider information, and a special birthday gift of a free pizza. It’s tailored to enhance the customer experience, ensuring each visit is more rewarding. 

Marc Malnati, proprietor of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, said, “Our customers have been loyal fans for generations, and this new rewards program is our way of saying ‘thank you’ while making every visit more rewarding. We’ve created a flexible program that gives our guests the choice of how they want to use their rewards, all while enjoying the authentic flavors of Lou Malnati’s legendary deep dish pizza and fan favorites that they know and love.” 

New members can enjoy immediate benefits upon joining, starting with a welcome offer of a free personal deep dish or a small thin-crust pizza with a $10 minimum purchase, valid within 14 days of signing up. Current members are also being celebrated with bonus points as a thank-you gift for their loyalty and feedback on the program’s improvements. The refreshed rewards program operates on a flexible points system, allowing members to earn 10 points for every dollar spent. Guests can redeem their points in two ways: for select menu items like pizza, appetizers, and desserts, or as reward dollars to reduce their bill.

Pokeworks Refreshes Rewards Program for Greater Customer Perks 

Pokeworks has significantly upgraded its rewards program, offering enhanced benefits for its loyal customers. The new program launched on November 13, allowing guests to earn points faster and redeem rewards with fewer points. With the previous program, rewards began at 99 points, but now customers can enjoy perks starting at just 30 points, making the program more rewarding and accessible. 

Pokeworks’ Head of Marketing Ha Ly said, “At Pokeworks, we're always looking for ways to delight our guests, and our recently upgraded rewards program reflects that commitment. By making it easier and more rewarding for our guests to enjoy their favorite Pokeworks dishes, we’re creating more opportunities to show our appreciation for their support.” 

Along with the faster points accumulation, the upgraded program includes an improved mobile app that simplifies the order-ahead process and streamlines reward redemption. Customers can earn points when using their credit cards shopping in stores or scanning receipts. The new Rewards Marketplace also offers a variety of enticing rewards. These include popular items like Garlic Spam Musubi, Miso soup, drinks, cookies (at select locations), and even a free regular Poke Bowl entrée.
