Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant and Honor Flight Network Unite for Veterans Day Fundraiser
Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, renowned for its authentic, freshly made Mexican dishes, recently partnered with the Honor Flight Network to honor U.S. veterans. Through the partnership, Abuelo’s and the nonprofit raised funds to provide veterans with free visits to Washington, D.C., memorials honoring their service. Through the “Queso for Heroes” campaign, Abuelo’s encouraged guests to contribute by purchasing specific menu items like the Queso Diablo appetizer and the Chile con Queso, with $1 from each appetizer going toward the cause. The fundraiser ran from November 6 to November 11.
Abuelo’s President Robert Lin said, “At Abuelo’s, we’re incredibly grateful to the veterans who heroically protected our freedom, so we are proud to recognize Veterans Day with our continuous partnership with Honor Flight. Helping veterans visit the capital and receive the respect and recognition they deserve is such an admirable cause, and I am thankful to our guests and the Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant teams for everything they do to support our partnership with the Honor Flight Network.”
Since its establishment in 2005, the Honor Flight Network has provided transportation to more than 300,000 veterans to D.C., helping them visit the national memorials that pay homage to their sacrifices.

Nebraska Medicine, a regional healthcare network with more than 9,000 employees, faced challenges in 2022 with a noticeable decline in employee engagement and an increase in vacant roles, symptoms of the broader recruitment and retention pressures exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the need to revitalize its workforce, Nebraska Medicine collaborated with Unlock Health to design a campaign that would attract new talent and foster a more engaging workplace culture. The “Together. Extraordinary.” campaign focused on showcasing actual Nebraska Medicine employees. In addition to new job applicants and lower voluntary employee turnover, the campaign has rendered a 41% rise in the company’s careers landing page visits and 10% fewer staff turnover overall. The campaign has also garnered industry recognition as a finalist in the 9th Annual Shorty Impact Awards for employee engagement.

Toyota Introduces Toyota Go Loyalty Platform to Enhance Customer Engagement
Toyota has introduced a new loyalty platform for Australians called “Toyota Go.” The program was developed in partnership with R/GA Australia, a creation innovation studio and is designed to deepen customer connections. The new platform consolidates Toyota’s diverse products and services in a single place, offering features such as personalized rewards, wishlists for service needs, and user-friendly profile management tools.
