The Fresh Market Teams Up with Guests in the Movement to End Hunger in the U.S. 

With millions of Americans suffering from food insecurity, The Fresh Market has stepped up to support families in the communities it serves. The specialty food retailer has announced its partnership with Feeding America. This September is Hunger Action Month, and The Fresh Market is supporting the cause by launching a round-up fundraiser across 160 locations. Through September 30, shoppers can round their order amount to the nearest dollar to help support families who face hunger and food insecurity.

"This partnership allows us and our guests to make a difference in our communities by simply rounding up their purchases. Together, we can help ensure that no one goes hungry." 

 

Walmart Launches Back-to-School ‘Supercampus’ Experience on Roblox 

Walmart is delivering a unique virtual experience just in time for the new school year. In the popular video game world of Roblox, Walmart has created a ‘Supercampus’ game that players of all ages can enjoy. Users can solve puzzles and collect supplies from popular school supply brands like Bic, 3M, and more.  

“Walmart has always aimed to create engaging experiences for our customers and members; now, we’re continuing to explore how to do that in the virtual worlds where they are spending more of their time,” the company wrote in a blog post. “We’re proud to have created a one-of-a-kind virtual journey where players can showcase their talents and uncover hidden skills, perfectly timed for the back-to-school season.” 

 

Lufthansa Airline Launches NFT Loyalty Program on Polygon 

Lufthansa, the industry-leading European airline, now offers non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for loyalty members through the Polygon Network. Airline passengers can scan their boarding passes using the app to earn NFT trading cards. Within the app, users must connect their crypto wallets to mint and transfer their Uptrip NFTs. Once passengers complete specific NFT collections, they will be eligible for rewards, such as flight upgrades, airport lounge access, frequent flyer status or award miles. Not only do passengers earn an NFT, but they can progressively earn rewards for their loyalty to the program and enjoy savings and upgrades on their next Lufthansa flight. The announcement has been followed by lots of support for the program, with Lufthansa reporting that there have been over 20,000 sign-ups and 200,000 NFT trading cards minted.
