Megan Spaid, Manager of Consumer Loyalty and Advertising at Certified Angus Beef, is a finalist at this year’s Loyalty Expo for the 2022 Loyalty360 Awards in the Incentive and Reward Design category.
Certified Angus Beef is the original Angus beef brand based in Wooster, Ohio, and owned by family farmers and ranchers.
The Steakholder Rewards program is unique in the brand does not own any product or operate as a B2C business. Instead, it provides marketing support to its partners who sell qualifying products to their consumers. Certified Angus Beef works closely with its grocery store and restaurant partners to identify CAB on receipts that are uploaded by rewards members for points. The program especially benefits independent restaurants and grocers that do not have their own loyalty programs.
By incorporating the Roast Perfect app into the Steakholder Rewards, the brand was able to re-engage members with new and innovative rewards and incentives, including Secret Santa holiday rewards, in-app activities, sweepstakes and surprise and delight rewards. A successful email drip campaign was also incorporated to retarget members and offer select rewards.
The goal of the program is to increase customer loyalty to the brand and drive members back to the retail and restaurant partners. It is a unique program that unites members and engages them in the Certified Angus Beef brand community.
