Chipotle Celebrates NBA Championship with Free Burritos 

Chipotle Mexican Grill introduced a new promotion to celebrate the 2023 NBA championship series by giving out free burritos. The “Free-Pointer” promotion offers fans the chance to win a free burrito for every 3-pointer scored during the series. 

To enter, fans must follow Chipotle on twitter. Every time a player scores a 3-pointer, Chipotle will tweet a text-to-win code. The first 300 fans who text the code to 888222 will win a free entrée from Chipotle. The brand will give away up to 10,500 burritos per game. 


Mars Wrigley UK Pilots Paper Packaging 

Mars Wrigley UK will test environmentally friendly paper packaging in select locations across the United Kingdom. As part of the brand’s commitment to sustainability, the new packaging will be tested at 500 Tesco locations. 

The launch of the new packaging follows Nestlé’s trial of sustainable wrappers in Australia earlier in 2023. Mars is investing heavily into these new efforts, with a goal to reduce virgin plastics by a quarter in the short-term and increasing use of recycled plastic. 

Tailored Brands Adopts Consumer-Friendly Technology 

Recovering from its 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Tailored Brands will test and adopt new technologies to attract a younger customer base. The company’s audience is anyone purchasing men’s tailored apparel from its brands: Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, K&G Fashion Superstore, and Moores Clothing. 

Focusing on technology, the company implemented different initiatives to engage its customers. The Men’s Wearhouse brand recently launched its digital wedding planner for grooms and is currently testing an AR smart mirror. The company is currently planning other technology initiatives to drive brand engagement.
