Home Depot Partners with the NCAA Ahead of March Madness

The Home Depot announced it has become an official corporate partner of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) just as March Madness gets underway on March 19, 2024. The three-year partnership will grant The Home Depot rights across 90 women’s and men’s basketball championship tournaments. On Selection Sunday, The Home Depot launched a “How to March Madness” campaign featuring basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. The campaign features step-by-step videos and project guides from the “Tool Shaq” to help DIYers with their spring projects.

“The Home Depot’s customers are also big sports fans, and March Madness is one of the most exciting times of the year. We’ve had a long-standing commitment to collegiate sports, and we’re excited to add the NCAA and its March Madness tournaments to our roster. We look forward to connecting with our customers in a fun, authentic way and empowering them as they tackle their spring projects,” said Molly Battin, Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer of The Home Depot.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Home Depot, one of the most recognized brands in college sports, to the NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners Program. We appreciate Home Depot extending its support of college student-athletes to NCAA Championships, which includes March Madness. We look forward to working with Home Depot on its activations engaging fans during our championship events,” added Dan Gavitt, NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball.

The “How to March Madness” campaign will run across digital and social platforms, linear TV networks such as CBS, TNT, TBS, TruTV, and ESPN, as well as an onsite at the March Madness Final Four, which will allow attendees to experience the excitement up close.
