Hertz recently upgraded its Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program to meet the evolving needs of its expansive customer base, according to Paula Rivera, Manager of Public Affairs for The Hertz Corporation.
With enhanced Gold Plus Rewards, members can achieve and retain status in elite tiers, earn extra points and redeem them faster, and access account balance information via improved technology.
“Hertz is continually looking for ways to help customers travel with speed and ease,” Rivera told Loyalty360. “We upgraded our industry-leading Gold Plus Rewards program to meet the evolving needs of today’s traveler and make it easier to reach new reward status levels and access all the benefits that come with membership in the program.
Rivera said the enhanced Gold Plus Rewards offering allows customers to get more from their car rental.
“The improved technology makes it easier for our Gold Plus Rewards members to view their real-time point balance, check their e-statements with up to 24 months of activity, and even redeem rewards during reservations,” she explained. “The Gold Plus Rewards program is broken down into three tiers so customers can customize their rewards for specific needs. For more frequent travelers, customers are offered additional bonus rewards and awards.”
Hertz continually strives for the most innovative technology, Rivera added, and revising the Gold Plus Rewards program is just one example of the company’s technology advancements.
“Gold Plus Rewards helps fulfill our customer promise to provide the fastest, easiest and most valuable rental experience,” she said. “For years, Hertz has been setting the standard in the car rental industry. From the advent of Hertz Gold in the 70’s, which enabled people to by-pass the rental counter and get into their car faster; to introducing Carfirmations, our mobile email/SMS text service that confirms a Gold customer’s reservation, advises them of their car location and even allows them to upgrade from their phone; all the way to being the first company with GPS-enabled cars, Hertz has always led the car rental industry. Today, Hertz is once again defining the car rental rewards program experience.”
Hertz measures success through its growing enrollment rates.
“We always welcome input from our customers to ensure we continue to meet their changing needs,” Rivera said. “Hertz strives to meet and exceed customer expectations and deliver on our promise to provide a fast, easy and valuable car rental experience.”
Rivera said Hertz realizes its customers are more mobile than ever, and rely on technology, so it’s introduced:
Gold Plus Rewards Upgrades with mobile alerts
Upgraded facilities to make renting a car faster and easier than ever
Hertz 24/7
Hertz Mobile App upgrades
“Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members enjoy our fastest pick up and drop off car rental experience, with exclusive member benefits and big savings on each rental - all with no membership fee,” she said. “Gold Plus Rewards are fast, easy and flexible and the points do not expire. Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program also offers AnyDay Rewards with no blackout dates and allows customers to use points toward a wide range of best-in-class cars. Hertz also uniquely offers exchange points for miles or points with many travel partners.”
