San Diego-based Firm Only Search Marketing Agency Named Finalist in both Categories This Year and Last
Covario, a leading independent search marketing agency, was the only search firm selected as a finalist for the MediaPost OMMA (Online Media, Marketing and Advertising) awards in both the SEO (search engine optimization) and the SEM (search engine marketing) categories of its 2012 Online Advertising Creativity awards.
The fast-growing, San Diego-based search marketer was recognized for its successful organic search marketing initiatives centering around an SEO-focused website relaunch for Samsung, as well as an impactful paid search effort that has generated significantly greater Web traffic for Guthy-Renker’s Proactiv brand in the SEM award category.
This is the second year in a row that Covario has been selected as an OMMA award finalist in both search marketing categories – the only search agency to accomplish this feat in the last two years. Last year, Covario was a finalist in the SEO and SEM categories for innovative search marketing campaigns on behalf of Nikon and Lenovo, respectively, with Covario and Nikon ultimately being named the 2011 OMMA winner in the SEO category.
For Samsung, Covario helped the global consumer electronics leader launch a new website with a keen focus on SEO leading up to the holiday season. The site was highly optimized both for consumers and the major search engines.
For Guthy-Renker, Covario teamed up with the client to help refine the Proactiv paid search program to more efficiently gain greater Web presence in key online search categories related to acne protection. The pay-per-click (PPC) efforts led to significant increases in website traffic and conversions, which was incremental to what was already being achieved through television advertising.
