SHC Direct, an industry leader in the Loyalty Marketing space, today announced the appointment of Bob Thacker as Chief Marketing Strategist to lead its marketing initiatives. SHC Direct is headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Thacker is currently the Executive Director of Adopt-A-Classroom, a non-profit organization focused on raising funds to provide the necessary supplies to classrooms nationwide. As the Executive Director, Thacker handles donation allocations to the 85,000 registered teachers benefiting from the organization.

Prior to joining SHC Direct and Adopt-A-Classroom, Thacker was responsible for generating many successful ad campaigns for OfficeMax, creating promotional success and brand awareness. As the Senior Vice President of Marketing at OfficeMax, Thacker was accountable for “The World’s Largest Rubberband Ball” media campaign and the holiday inspired “ElfYourself” viral marketing phenomenon. Previously, he was the President and CEO of BBDO Advertising in Minneapolis, and was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Sears and Target.
