The Container Store® Becomes First CashStar Retailer to Roll Out Facebook Integration
DALLAS—CashStar, the digital gifting and incentives company, today announced new functionality in its market-leading digital gifting platform. CashStar’s retail clients can now offer their customers mobile and social capabilities within their eGift card offerings.
The new platform features, which are being demoed this week in Booth #115 at the Shop.org Annual Summit, enable retailers to offer:
- Mobile Gift Cards – Adds mobile as a delivery notification option for eGift cards. Cards are optimized for smartphone-based redemption in-store, or can be used online.
- Social Integration – From The Container Store’s (or any participating retailer’s) eGift Card purchase page, shoppers can send digital gift cards to a friend’s Facebook wall using Facebook Connect. In addition, both senders and recipients of eGift cards have the ability to “Like” and “Share” their digital gifting experiences on Facebook and Twitter, which is especially beneficial to retailers running promotions and offers through the CashStar platform. The CashStar platform now features an enhanced design center, which includes expanded faceplate categories (weddings, anniversaries, showers, etc.). By offering more image options and categories, retailers can enhance each customer’s purchase experience by making it even more personal.
