Best Buy is adding new rewards benefits to its My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total plans beginning June 4. Members in both paid tiers will earn 1% back in rewards on eligible purchases, while customers who use a My Best Buy Credit Card can earn up to 6% back.

The new rewards structure is being introduced alongside existing benefits such as exclusive pricing, free shipping, extended return windows, tech support, and product protection. The changes are driven by customer demand, with more than 80% citing that they want to earn points when they shop at the electronics and appliance retailer.

Best Buy Chief Marketing Officer Jennie Weber said, “For today’s shoppers, rewards play a meaningful role in deciding where to shop. Our customers have been clear about what they want from us: reward points, convenience, and exclusive benefits. We’re bringing all of that together across our Plus and Total memberships to deliver even more value for them—in a way only Best Buy can.”

To support the update, Best Buy is launching a new digital membership hub through its website and mobile app, allowing Plus and Total members to track points, monitor rewards balances, and view available rewards directly in their carts during checkout.

The My Best Buy Plus membership will continue to focus on savings and shopping benefits for $29.99 per year, including exclusive deals, free two-day shipping, and longer return periods. Meanwhile, the $199.99-per-year My Best Buy Total tier will continue offering broader protection and support benefits, including product protection plans with AppleCare+, 24/7 tech assistance, repair discounts, and priority customer service.
