DICK’S and Synchrony Relaunch Credit Card Program

DICK’S Sporting Goods and Synchrony have relaunched their co-branded credit card program, introducing an enhanced rewards structure tied to the retailer’s ScoreCard loyalty program. The updated DICK’S Credit Card and DICK’S Mastercard now offer cardholders 10% back in ScoreCard rewards on qualifying purchases at DICK’S Sporting Goods.

The refreshed program includes two card options: a private-label DICK’S Credit Card usable across the company’s family of brands, and a DICK’S Mastercard that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted while earning 1% back on non-DICK’S purchases. Additional benefits include a $30 bonus reward for new cardholders, automatic Gold status in the ScoreCard loyalty program, and continued integration across banners such as Golf Galaxy, Public Lands, and House of Sport locations.

Existing cardholders will automatically transition into the new program without needing to reapply or transfer rewards balances.

SIXT Launches Travel Support Offer Amid Spirit Airlines Shutdown

SIXT is offering discounted rental car options to travelers impacted by the suspension of Spirit Airlines operations. The company announced a temporary promotion providing up to 20% off one-way rental bookings at participating U.S. locations, helping stranded passengers secure alternative transportation as travel disruptions continue. The offer is valid for bookings made through May 17, with rentals available through the end of the month.

The initiative applies across SIXT’s network of more than 120 U.S. locations, including dozens of airport branches that previously served key Spirit Airlines routes. The travel disruption has left many customers searching for new transportation arrangements after Spirit halted operations amid financial and restructuring challenges. In response, several travel providers have introduced assistance programs, with SIXT positioning its rental network as a flexible alternative for affected travelers.

Beyond supporting travelers, SIXT is also extending opportunities to former Spirit Airlines employees affected by the shutdown. The company said it is actively hiring across multiple departments, including operations, customer service, sales, finance, HR, and revenue management, as it continues expanding its U.S. presence. SIXT North America President Tom Kennedy noted that the company hopes to provide practical support for both displaced passengers and impacted airline staff during the disruption.
