The Athlete's Foot (TAF) has launched “Be About That Vote,” a campaign aimed at promoting civic engagement and encouraging voter registration ahead of the upcoming November elections. At the heart of the initiative is an innovative augmented reality (AR) mural outside TAF’s Monroe store. The interactive mural was developed in partnership with the AR platform Zappar and has a call to action link for voter registration.
The Athlete’s Foot President and General Manager of Americas Matt Lafone said, “Voting is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for change. Through the ‘Be About That Vote’ campaign, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers to participation and empowering individuals to make their voices heard.”
As part of the campaign, TAF brand ambassador Flau’jae Johnson will release a series of posts across social media conveying the importance of early voting and inspiring individuals to use their voices for positive change.
Through a collaboration with the Barred Business Foundation, TAF recently supported voter registration at its Monroe store, making resources readily available for the community to register. TAF also participated in Clark Atlanta University’s Homecoming on October 18, where the TAF Wagon engaged students with vibrant infographics and voter registration information.
TAF expanded its campaign with a “Sneakerball” event on October 4, where guests received “Be About That Vote” buttons and viewed thought-provoking billboards reinforcing the power of voting. TAF’s in-store initiatives have also emphasized civic responsibility, with employees at all locations wearing campaign buttons.
