Sam’s Club prides itself on listening to its customers to better engage them and promote brand loyalty.
As the winter, for most of the country, wanes toward completion, Sam’s Club wants to engage customers through free health screenings at all of their stores on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
According to a Johns Hopkins University study, cholesterol levels fluctuate seasonally, but are at their worst during the cold winter months. To help people resume their healthy habits, Sam’s Club is offering free health screenings to both members and the public. These “Spring into Action” health screenings are free, confidential, and available at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy (604 locations) on Saturday, March 14.
The screenings are valued at $150 and include tests for:
Blood pressure
Total cholesterol
HDL (good cholesterol)
Risk ratio
Glucose
Body mass index (BMI)
Vision (not available at all locations)
Tara Raddohl, Director, Corporate Communications for Sam’s Club, told Loyalty360 that members have told company officials every year that health and wellness is a priority for them.
“We have responded by providing free monthly screenings to make health care accessible and affordable to, not only our members, but to the public as well,” Raddohl said. “Ten months out of the year we offer screenings that directly correlate to health needs the public may be facing, like a diabetes management screening. The “Spring into Action” March screenings are intended to help people resume their healthy habits after the harsh winter many just experienced and get them back on track as we look forward to warmer weather.”
According to a J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Pharmacy Study, Sam’s Club Pharmacy was ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Mass Merchandiser Pharmacies.”
“Sam’s Club associates have always been committed to providing legendary member service to our members and one another,” Raddohl added. “When you step into a Sam’s Club or visit SamsClub.com, it’s a full-service retail experience, offering savings, surprises, and members-only value. In response to member feedback, we offer a robust member services portfolio that provides solutions for the many needs of both individual and small business members. Whether it be Pharmacy, Sam’s Club Travel, or out suite of Business Operations services, including legal and payroll/HR solutions, member services enhance the value of the Sam’s Club membership.”
