Ralph Lauren has unveiled Ask Ralph, a conversational AI feature integrated into the brand’s U.S. mobile app, designed to bring a personalized styling experience directly to shoppers. Running on Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI platform, the tool combines advanced natural language processing with Ralph Lauren’s timeless aesthetic to serve up multiple shoppable visual outfit laydowns tailored to user prompts. It launches today exclusively via the Ralph Lauren app for both Apple and Android users in the United States.

The AI tool aims to closely replicate the experience of speaking with an in-store stylist, interpreting open-ended prompts like “What should I wear to a concert?” or “How can I style my navy-blue men’s blazer?” and responding with curated, brand-authentic outfit suggestions drawn from current inventory.

What sets Ask Ralph apart is its deeply immersive, brand-aligned design. It uses Ralph Lauren’s own content, inclusive of online catalog imagery, editorial campaigns, and brand language, to inform its styling recommendations, ensuring they remain true to the brand’s heritage. The AI surfaces visually composed looks that users can refine through follow-up prompts and easily add individual items—or complete outfits—to their cart for purchase.

Looking ahead, Ralph Lauren plans to expand the tool across other brand categories and global markets, while continuously enhancing personalization and functionality.
