N.E.W. Customer Service Companies expands globally by partnering with two of the world’s leading retailers
STERLING, Va.—N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Inc. (NEW), the leading global provider of extended service plans, buyer protection services and product support, has established agreements with two of China’s top retailers — TESCO and Media Markt — to provide product protection and support services for consumer electronics and appliances.

The first flagship store of Media Markt Shanghai opened in November 2010, and is a 13,000-square-meter space in the Jinjiang International Shopping Center. In the next two years, Media Markt is planning to open 20 stores in Shanghai.
TESCO is Britain’s leading retailer and is one of the top three retailers in the world, operating more than 3,700 stores globally in 14 countries. Currently in China, the corporation operates in 90 hypermarkets. TESCO has plans to aggressively expand its operations in China through the end of 2011, and is expected to focus its business growth there in three main geographic regions — Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
NEW will provide both of these retail giants with extended service plan coverage packages for consumers on appliances and electronics. In addition, the agreement provides in-store marketing support as well as sales force training.
