Natural Grocers is marking Earth Month with the return of its annual Ladybug Love campaign in partnership with the Rodale Institute

The initiative highlights the importance of beneficial insects, like ladybugs, in maintaining healthy soil, resilient farms, and a sustainable food system.

Natural Grocers VP of Marketing, Raquel Isely, said, “This year’s campaign focuses on raising funds for Rodale Institute’s Farmer Training Programs, which provide hands-on education to prepare the next generation of farmers in regenerative organic agriculture. The Ladybug Love campaign highlights the essential role beneficial insects play in building healthy soil, resilient farms, and a more sustainable food system. Rodale Institute's science-driven research and immersive farmer training programs are helping advance regenerative organic agriculture in meaningful, measurable ways. With the support of our customers, this campaign helps cultivate the next generation of organic farmers while reinforcing our shared responsibility to care for the land, protect biodiversity, and nourish the planet.”

Throughout April, customers are encouraged to participate by pledging to avoid harmful chemicals, donating at checkout, or purchasing select items that contribute to fundraising efforts.

Natural Grocers aims to raise $100,000 through these activities, including pledge-based donations and product sales. Additional engagement includes a sweepstakes tied to the brand’s magazine and special Earth Day promotions from April 22 through April 24, featuring discounts, giveaways, and educational resources designed to promote eco-friendly living and support organic farming practices.
