Microsoft Announces New Dynamics CRM 2015 Integrations

microsoft logoMicrosoft Corp. announced Tuesday new Dynamics CRM integrations and partnerships as part of the company’s efforts to optimize Microsoft cloud to businesses via the Dynamics business platform, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 applications.

The new integrations are part of Microsoft’s broad customer engagement and content management strategy, and were announced by Microsoft Business Solutions executive vice president Kirill Tatarinov at the sold-out Convergence 2014 Europe business conference held in Barcelona.  

“Businesses are looking to the cloud for greater collaboration and the right insights to help them be more productive,” Tatarinov said in a release. “Microsoft is reimaging and reinventing productivity by harnessing the power of the cloud. Customer-centric business solutions delivered through Microsoft Dynamics are helping organizations transform the way they engage with customers and run their business.”

The company announced Tuesday that Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 will be available next month. New changes include the integration of Cortana for Windows Phone 8.1 as well as integration to the Thunderbird.com customer engagement platform.

The Cortana integration gives Microsoft Dynamics users the ability to set up meetings and engagements, look for contacts, accounts and customer records with voice commands.

Microsoft’s new partnership with Thunderhead.com provides omni-channel customer engagement solution via Thunderhead.com’s ONE Engagement Hub that features enhanced visualization and analytics capabilities and combines customer insight with journey behavior and context to complete the omni-channel circle.

In addition, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 will feature several new updates including near-real-time calculations and roll-ups, and client API enhancements that will allow for automation and consistency across channels and devices.

Microsoft is also adding new industry templates aimed at specific industries including retail, financial services, public sector, manufacturing and professional services−27 of these templates will be available by the end of the year.
