PayPal Rolls Out 5% Cash Back
PayPal is rolling out a new holiday-season promotion in the U.S.: customers will earn 5% cash back on all PayPal Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) purchases made between now and December 31, 2025. This incentive is designed to ease holiday spending, especially since a majority of shoppers (60%) report feeling more financial stress heading into the season.
In addition to the rewards program, PayPal is expanding its “Pay Monthly” option to in-store purchases across the U.S.. Shoppers approved for Pay Monthly receive a one-time virtual card (usable within 24 hours) that can be added to mobile wallets and used like a payment method in stores. PayPal also supports features like scheduled automatic payments, spending tracking, and reminders to help consumers stay on top of their payments.
For merchants, this move aims to boost conversion and reduce cart abandonment during the busy holiday season. Since over 80% of consumers who have tried or considered BNPL plan to use it for holiday purchases, PayPal sees this as an opportunity for sellers to attract more buyers and strengthen shopper loyalty.

Domino’s Pizza of Canada Partners with DoorDash
Domino’s Pizza of Canada is rolling out its partnership with DoorDash nationwide, making Domino’s menus available via DoorDash in nearly 300 cities across all 12 provinces and territories, supported by about 600 store locations. This expansion builds on an existing global alliance between Domino’s and DoorDash (and Wolt, DoorDash’s international arm), now spanning 27 countries.
Under this arrangement, Domino’s will use a “Self-Delivery” model: customers order through DoorDash, but deliveries are fulfilled by Domino’s own trained delivery staff and franchisees, integrating DoorDash’s ordering and tracking interface with Domino’s logistics. The move is intended to combine the ease of DoorDash’s platform with Domino’s delivery reliability.
To celebrate the launch, Domino’s is offering Canadian DashPass customers a 30 % discount on orders $30 or more (up to $10 off) through October 13, 2025, using promo code DOMINOS30.

Bed Bath & Beyond Introduces Nationwide Franchise System
Bed Bath & Beyond is rolling out a national franchise model that allows local entrepreneurs to open stores under its brand. The company plans to maintain a streamlined footprint of corporate-owned stores while expanding its reach through franchise locations. This shift aims to combine national infrastructure and marketing with local ownership and community presence.
In each franchise store, about 80% of the product assortment will be curated centrally by Bed Bath & Beyond, while the remaining 20% can be customized by franchisees to reflect regional tastes and local designers. The stores will carry core departments like Home, Kitchen & Living, Storage & Organization, and Holiday Shoppe, and will integrate the in-store and online experience under one brand umbrella.
Franchisees will have access to capital-raising via tokenization through the tZERO platform, potentially reducing reliance on traditional financing methods. They will also benefit from AI and data analytics tools to help with forecasting, inventory, pricing, promotions, and operational efficiency. Bed Bath & Beyond expects to finalize franchise documentation within six months.
