Walgreens Honors Veterans with Discounts Nov. 11-14
To celebrate the service and commitment of the nation’s military and honor the men and women who serve the country, Walgreens is offering a four-day in-store discount to all veterans and active duty military personnel as well as their family members.

On Thursday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 14, veterans, military and their families will receive 20 percent off regular price eligible store items at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore nationwide.
 
Bed Bath & Beyond Names Its First Chief Customer Officer
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has named Rafeh Masood as its chief customer officer, a new role for the company. Masood became the company’s chief digital officer in May 2020, and in September was additionally named interim chief brand officer at the homeware retailer following the departure of Cindy Davis.

His new job combines those two roles, including responsibilities for areas from the e-commerce user experience to customer support, the company said.
 
QDOBA Promotes Karin Silk to Chief Marketing Officer
QDOBA announced the promotion of Karin Silk to chief marketing officer. Since joining the company in 2018 as vice president of menu and off-premises, Silk has played a pivotal role in guiding the introduction of several strategic platforms for QDOBA, including the launch of QDOBA’s line of chef-crafted Signature Eats, menu collaborations with culinary leaders like Impossible Foods and Cholula, as well as an expanded Flavor Bar, featuring a collection of modern salsas, sauces and toppings for guests to customize their orders in over a billion ways.

In her new position, she will oversee QDOBA’s strategic marketing and digital initiatives, in addition to continuing her leadership of the menu and off-premises sectors of the business, which includes culinary strategy, third-party delivery partnerships and catering.
