USA Today NETWORK and Gannett Foundation launched A Community Thrives program to support community-building initiatives across the country, with a focus on historically under-served individuals and groups. The program awards grants to worthy causes and organizations aiming to improve their communities.
A Community Thrives combines crowdfunding and grants offering non-profits the opportunity to promote their ideas and missions on a national platform by leveraging Gannett’s local media brands across the USA TODAY NETWORK, including USA TODAY to drive further awareness and support.
Caleres Supports LGBTQIA+ Associates and Community
Caleres supports LGBTQIA+ community year long, including support specific to Pride month in June.
“As we approach an opportunity to honor, recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in June, we want to clearly state that we do this all year at Caleres,” said Amy Hunter, vice president of DE&I for Caleres.
Caleres started this year with a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQIA workplace equality.
American Eagle Acquires Partners Saks Off Fifth and Fanatics on Logistics Platform
American Eagle recently added Saks Off Fifth and Fanatics as customers for its Quiet Platforms logistics. The company is actively looking to offer its supply chain capabilities to other customers.
“We are clearly in a very disruptive supply chain environment. And to me, that only makes the impetus for people needing this kind of service greater,” COO Michael Rempell said.
American Eagle has been on a journey to enable fast fulfillment and delivery for its customers. The retailer has high expectations for Quiet Platforms, calling it the “anti-Amazon.”
