Chipotle Accepts Cryptocurrency via Partnership with Flexa
Chiptole has partnered with Flexa to accept bitcoin and other digital currencies. To celebrate, the fast-casual restaurant is offering 10% off when using cryptocurrency.

Customers with a digital wallet that integrates with Flexa can open the app, select Chipotle and scan a unique barcode to pay for their meal. Potential benefits include more flexible payment options for customers and more secure transactions enabled by the blockchain.

Giant Eagle Revamps Loyalty Program Platform
Giant Eagle is enhancing its customer loyalty program in response to rising inflation and supply chain issues. The new savings platform, myPerks, is meant to offer shoppers up to 20% savings on both fuel and grocery costs.

Said company spokesperson Jannah Jablonowski, “The understanding has inspired the launch of myPerks as we push beyond a traditional ‘loyalty program’ to deliver a robust, meaningful value platform that supports our guests through today’s challenges and that will expand and grow alongside them in months to come.”

Costco Membership Renewal at All-Time High
Costco experienced all-time high renewal memberships in response to higher inflation. Net sales for the third quarter increased 16.3% from last year with membership up 9.2%.

The company is also seeing more strength in terms of the number of members that sign up digitally, which has become a bigger percentage of its growth as well. Costco’s e-comm business for grocery continues to grow, up low double digits in the third quarter.

Chik-fil-A Partners with Refraction AI for Robotic Delivery Service
Chick-fil-A is using self-driving robots to deliver meals from select locations for innovative ways to lower carbon emissions and energy consumption, and mitigate labor pressures. Partnering with Refraction AI, the robot travels in the margin of the road or in a bike lane and costs a fraction of typical delivery.

Customers receive a series of text message communications for delivery updates in real-time. "Autonomous delivery using Refraction's robots creates an exciting new opportunity to extend the Chick-fil-A experience to a growing number of delivery guests," said Austin Chik-fil-A operator Luke Steigmeyer.
