7-Eleven Adds Waitr to Delivery Partnerships
7-Eleven has partnered with Waitr Holdings Inc. to expand its on-demand food ordering and delivery options.
“The addition of 7-Eleven to our platform represents the newest example of our ongoing commitment to expand into new delivery verticals,” commented Carl Grimstad, CEO and chairman of Lafayette, La.-based Waitr. “This partnership creates a new level of convenience for our customers.”

Earlier this year 7-Eleven announced it would test online order delivery using Nuro autonomous vehicles in select locations. Additionally, the store introduced 7NOW Gold Pass, a premium loyalty program that waives delivery fees for members.

Instant Brands Launches Employee Rewards Program with Car Giveaway
Instant Brands announced an expanded employee rewards program to celebrate its plant and distribution center employees' commitment during COVID-19. The company's expanded rewards program celebrates employees with the best attendance records during the second half of 2021 by awarding five employees with a new Jeep Compass.

In 2022, the company plans to hold two drawings at each of its five U.S. locations. Winning employees will be awarded an all-expense paid vacation for two.

Instacart Launches New Subscription Service
Instacart announced the debut of Instacart+, a relaunch of the brand’s Instacart Express subscription service. In addition to new family shopping features, Instacart+ gives households free delivery on orders over $35, 5% credit back on all eligible pickup orders, reduced service fees, and the ability to share their subscription.

Instacart subscribers are among the company's most engaged customers, driving superior lifetime value through increased orders, higher GTV per customer and habitual ordering than standard customers – as well as ordering from a greater diversity of retailers on the platform.

Walmart Connect Partners with Omnicom for Omnichannel Experience
Walmart Connect omnichannel media business announced a strategic partnership with Omnicom Media Group, the first such agreement between Walmart Connect and an agency holding company. Encompassing pricing, agency support, ongoing product feedback and ground-floor opportunities, the partnership delivers a broad spectrum of strategic and commercial benefits, most significantly, allowing Omnicom's agencies to deliver connected experiences across media and commerce platforms.

The Walmart Connect/Omnicom partnership represents the intersection of multiple industry trends, including the growing influence of retail media networks; agencies' expanding footprint in commerce; and increased interest in collaboration between retailers, agencies and marketers seeking competitive advantage in an accelerated marketplace.
