Carl’s Jr Partners with Beyond Meat to Win Over Vegans
Beyond Meat has teamed up with Carl’s Jr, and now the brand’s plant-based, meatless burger patties will be available at over 1,100 restaurants. This is Beyond Meat’s biggest partnership to date. The new burger is called the Beyond Famous Star and offers a vegan alternative to a Carl’s Jr staple.
“We know people are looking for options—in fact, roughly one-third of consumers identify as flexitarians—and we’re thrilled to partner with Beyond Meat to bring more delicious, irresistible flavors to our menu,” says Jason Marker, CEO, CKE Restaurants. “The new Beyond Famous Star is a true industry game changer.”
2018’s Retail Winners
The retailers with the greatest profit margins in 2018 were those that improved their shipping speed and upped their web and mobile experiences. Walmart, in particular, had a strong year. Its e-commerce sales grew by 43 percent in the third quarter. Other major retailers, however, have filed for bankruptcy.
