FuboTV Inc. has launched a proprietary Connected TV (CTV) ad format called "The Triple Play," which is designed to feature advertiser-branded video content on Fubo’s home screen. The new format is set to enhance Fubo's ad offerings and increase engagement on the platform.
The Triple Play debuts as a major national retailer’s back-to-school campaign gets underway, giving the brand exposure on Fubo’s home screen. The ad unit offers a way for advertisers to maximize their reach and interaction with viewers by strategically placing their branded content with curated programming and creative assets.
When opening the Fubo app, users will be greeted by an interactive home screen featuring The Triple Play module. The display includes a branded banner, a content carousel showcasing live and on-demand programming, and a clickable branded video from the advertiser. Advertisers can also add a QR code for enhanced engagement alongside mid-roll spots within the custom programming playlist.
Fubo Senior Vice President of Global Ad Sales and Operations, Dina Roman, stated, “Traditional 15 and 30-second ad spots have long been staples in TV advertising, but CTV has made it possible to expand standard TV ad formats to command more attention and engagement. The new format incorporates immersive brand elements such as custom titles, logos, and themed backgrounds, creating a seamless integration of branded content into the viewer’s experience. FuboTV’s launch of The Triple Play follows the company’s recent unveiling of four CTV ad formats at this year’s NewFronts. The formats emphasize interactivity, customization, and engagement.
