Integrated fundraising and communications firm Pursuant Sports produced a series of dynamic, interactive videos and online content to promote the mission and sports of Conference USA.
DALLAS, Sept. 13—Pursuant Sports, a leader in athletic fundraising and online media solutions, recently announced their partnership with Conference USA (C-USA) on an integrated promotional campaign featuring four videos that will highlight marquee sports, conference values and sportsmanship. The 30-second spots will air during televised sporting events on several networks, most notably ESPN, ESPN2, CBS College Sports and Comcast Sports Southeast during the 2010-11 season. The videos will also be showcased online and distributed via Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
“We are working with C-USA to create a unique, measurable strategy that goes beyond a typical 30-second TV spot,” says Mick Prendergast, director of business development for Pursuant Sports. “The different facets of the campaign—the videos, a corresponding website and all the online and televised channels to promote them—are a memorable and engaging way to tell a more in-depth story about C-USA and its athletes.”
One video, a C-USA image piece, depicts the theme “We Play for You,” featuring student-athletes from a variety of sports. The student-athletes describe what inspires them to play and pay homage to the people in their lives who motivate them to excel. The video then points viewers to an experience website, also developed by Pursuant Sports, at stories.conferenceusa.com where viewers can explore student-athlete stories and learn more about C-USA.

Two of the promotional TV spots will generate enthusiasm among staff, fans and supporters for the upcoming football and basketball seasons. The fourth commissioned video, on NCAA Sportsmanship, will convey the NCAA’s commitment to integrity and excellence both on and off the field.
Pursuant Sports is also working on virtual media guides and experience websites for other C-USA member schools, such as the University of Houston, Southern Methodist University, Tulane University and the University of Tulsa.
