Coalition programs and one major credit card brand prevail at the culmination of voting
There is no doubt that the allure of free travel plays immensely in the minds of many Canadians. For those who are not frequent travellers the dream vacation usually becomes reality through the use of a travel rewards program that has a credit card component. Thousands of Canadians carry a travel rewards credit card in their wallet and Rewards Canada (www.rewardscanada.ca) reached out to them to find out which cards were their favourites.
During a 30 day period in September and October 2012, travel rewards fans from coast to coast visited Rewards Canada to cast their votes in the second annual ‘Canada’s Choice’ portion of the website’s Top Travel Rewards Credit Card feature. With over 3,300 completed votes in 5 different categories there were some changes over 2011 but in general Canada’s two largest coalition reward programs and one credit card issuer took the majority of the top spots. "This year’s Canada’s Choice far surpassed my expectations” said Patrick Sojka of RewardsCanada.ca, “we had nearly five times as many people vote than in 2011 showing that Canadian’s are truly passionate about their travel rewards”
This feature is a continuation of RewardsCanada.ca’s “Guide to Choosing a Travel Rewards Credit Card” which is aimed at helping the Canadian consumer choose the right travel rewards credit card for them.
Launched in 2001, RewardsCanada.ca is regularly featured in the Canadian media and is considered to be Canada’s premier frequent flyer and travel rewards resource. Updated on a daily basis, the website features news, articles, program information and bonus offers for over 80 travel reward programs.
