Aer Lingus has placed its Twitter handle on the side of one of its planes to raise awareness of its customer service Twitter account.
The airline brand has tweeted about putting its @AerLingus Twitter handle on one of its jets in order to promote the account that currently has a modest 12,000 followers and is operated from 9am to 6pm every weekday.
Aer Lingus is part-owned by Ryanair and is embracing social media soon after Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary criticised labelled social media users "halfwits".
