Marco’s Pizza Branches Out for More Brand Loyalty

Based in Toledo, Ohio, Marco’s Pizza is the fastest-growing pizza company in the U.S., based on the number of stores signed into development since 2007. The company was founded in 1978 by Italian native Pasquale (“Pat”) Giammarco, and he plans to keep building his pizza empire, creating more and more brand loyalty along the way.

Giammarco is very proud of the fact that his pizza is made with authentic Italian ingredients. The company has grown from its Ohio roots and now operates 700 stores in 35 states, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and India.

Now, Giammarco has his sights set on the state of Maryland for growth. The company plans to introduce more than 30 locations in Maryland through strategic franchise partnerships. The new franchise locations will create more than 600 new jobs throughout the state.

Already working toward his expansion goals, several locations are in different stages in development, including locations throughout the Baltimore area opening in the coming months.

New Marco’s Pizza locations will open under the leadership of Dharmesh Patel, an industry veteran who moved to the U.S. in 1987 and quickly found that the pizza industry was an ideal place to develop his leadership skills, expertise, and knowledge.

Targeted development markets in Maryland  include various cities surrounding the Baltimore area. Strategic cities for the expansion include Timonium, Perry Hall, Essex, Ellicott City, Pasadena, and Dundalk.
