Chick-Fil-A Launches New Loyalty Program

Chick-fil-A is giving away eight-count chicken nugget boxes to guests who create or sign into their loyalty program accounts with the company’s mobile application. The giveaway is available from August 30th to September 29th at over 2,300 restaurants around the United States. Customers can choose between pressure-cooked or grilled chicken nuggets.

The company has organized the giveaway in an effort to highlight the redesign of its app and its new loyalty program, Chick-fil-A One.

“We want to thank the millions of customers who have joined Chick-fil-A One on our mobile app, and this is just a small way to show our appreciation for dining with us,” says Kaitlyn White, senior lead of the Chick-fil-A One Membership program. 

Designed from customer feedback, the loyalty program is intended to create a simpler and more transparent customer experience that is easier to navigate. It includes membership tiers (Member, Silver Member, and Red Member) and rewards for purchases.
 
Customers in each tier earn points from every purchase and can redeem them for food. All three tiers also include a birthday reward. In addition, customers in the Silver and Red tiers earn more points on their purchases and can also give rewards to friends and family. On behalf of Silver and Red tier members, Chick-fil-A also donates a meal to Feeding Children Everywhere, a nonprofit that ships meals to hungry children across the country.

“Our membership program is just as much about what you give as what you get,” says White. “Members will earn points with every purchase that can be used to redeem available rewards of their choice like an Icedream or Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, and we’re excited to offer Chick-fil-A One Silver and Chick-fil-A One Red Members a way to spread a little kindness too.”

Program members have a choice in how they interact with the membership program—by earning points on orders placed through the app, by placing online catering orders, or by scanning an in-app or membership QR code in the restaurant. In turn, they choose how they want to use points to redeem a variety of available rewards.
 
The announcement of the giveaway and the new loyalty program comes in the wake of a huge milestone in Chick-fil-A’s history. In 2019, the company plans to open its first locations outside the United States. These restaurants will appear in Toronto and create 750 jobs by 2024, the company says.
