Chase is encouraging customers to reach for their Chase card when holiday shopping with three promotions tied to its Ultimate Rewards loyalty program.

“With the 2010 Ultimate Rewards Holiday promotion, we are rewarding customers both when they’re earning rewards while shopping as well as when they’re redeeming rewards points for merchandise,” a Chase spokesperson tells Marketing Daily. “Last year was the first year of Ultimate Rewards platform and the holiday promotion was much smaller in scale. The 2010 offer reflects the maturity of the platform and our dedication to meeting cardmember needs by making rewards simple, easy and convenient to earn and redeem.”

From Nov. 14 through Dec. 20, Chase credit cardmembers who participate in Ultimate Rewards and redeem 5,000 points or more in a single transaction will receive a free Best Buy gift card as a bonus. The promotion, “Give a Gift, Get a Free Gift Card,” offers a $10 gift card for 5,000 points or a $25 gift card for 10,000 points.

With the “Shop ‘N Save on Cyber Monday” promo, Chase cardmembers who currently have reward points banked and who choose to use them to do their holiday shopping on Cyber Monday will save 30% on merchandise redeemed through Ultimate Rewards. Cardmembers who participate in the promotion are also eligible for the “Give a Gift, Get a Free Gift Card”  promotion.

Finally, “Eight is Great: Earn 8 Times the Points When You Shop at ultimaterewards.com” runs from Nov. 26-30. Chase cardmembers with Ultimate Rewards who do their online holiday shopping at the Ultimate Rewards Mall (ultimaterewards.com/mall) will earn eight bonus points for every dollar they spend at select merchants. The Ultimate Rewards Online Mall gives cardmembers access to more than 400 merchants.
