Serviced Office Provider Wins Customer Service “Oscars”

Flying the flag for the serviced office industry at the recent UK Customer Experience Awards, Business Environment was named the best provider of customer service of any UK professional services firm. The company triumphed over some tough competition, including outsourcing giant Capita, to take the title.

Speaking about the award, David Saul, managing director of Business Environment, said: “We couldn’t be more delighted with this win. We face stiff competition from several rivals, many of whom are larger and better-known, so we have to compete on customer service. This award is like the Oscars for any company interested in delivering high quality customer service.”

And that’s not all. Since introducing the Service Excellence Guarantee to ensure great customer service is delivered as standard, Business Environment has risen to 36th place in the Sunday Times “Best Companies to Work For” list. So it seems that staff enjoy delivering great customer service – especially when the standards they need to achieve are clearly defined.

Achieving award-winning customer service

In fact, Business Environment’s Service Excellence Guarantee played a key role in their win. The initiative was introduced last year to ensure that consistently high standards of customer service were delivered across all fifteen of its centres, which together cover almost a million square feet of space.

Secret shopper exercises, staff reviews and customer feedback are all used to ensure that these high standards are achieved. But it’s not just company employees who are playing their part in delivering excellent customer service: Business Environment is also keen to get customers involved, setting out the standards in a Service Excellence handbook so they know what to expect.
