The New York Rangers have officially announced several special events and initiatives to commemorate their 100th anniversary, marking a full season dedicated to honoring the franchise’s rich legacy.
The Centennial campaign will continue throughout the 2025-2026 NHL season, featuring themed game nights at Madison Square Garden, fan experiences, and community-based programs. Fans can look forward to appearances by Rangers alumni, historic retrospectives, and immersive celebrations highlighting the storied journey of the team since its founding in 1926.’

This season will be about more than just looking back – it’s about bringing people together through theme nights that resonate across generations, meaningful community programs, and celebrations that recognize every era of our history in a meaningful and impactful way.”
Each theme night will highlight a different aspect of Rangers history, from the franchise’s birth to iconic moments and legendary players. Highlights include tributes to the Original Six era, fan-favorite players, the evolution of goaltending in New York, and the team’s modern accomplishments since 2004. Longtime broadcaster and Hall of Famer Sam Rosen will return as Master of Ceremonies for select evenings.
In addition to game nights, the Rangers will introduce several Centennial-themed initiatives. A new historical exhibit will open at Madison Square Garden, displaying artifacts and memorabilia from across the decades. A special content series hosted by Henrik Lundqvist will spotlight franchise legends through state-of-the-art storytelling, while an enhanced Casino Night will offer fans an interactive, upscale celebration with past and present players.
