PetSmart is celebrating pet adoption by offering a unique reward to new pet parents: automatic elevation to the top tier of its Treats Rewards loyalty program. Known as VIPP (Very Important Pet Parent) status, this special recognition is now available to anyone who adopts a pet at a PetSmart store through PetSmart Charities.

VIPP members enjoy a variety of exclusive benefits designed to enhance their pet ownership experience.
These include 40% more points per dollar spent, double points on two shopping trips and donations to PetSmart Charities, and a complimentary holiday gift. Other perks include free shipping on some orders over $49, special in-store pricing, a gift on their pet’s birthday or “Gotcha Day,” and a coupon book valued at up to $400 in pet-related savings. The Treats Rewards program is free to join and rewards members for their loyalty and care.
PetSmart has long championed pet adoption, opting not to sell cats or dogs in its stores. Instead, it partners with thousands of local animal welfare groups to facilitate adoptions at nearly all of its locations. Through ongoing in-store events like National Adoption Week and daily adoption opportunities outside of its stores, a pet is adopted at PetSmart approximately every 41 seconds, totaling over 11 million pets placed in loving homes to date.
