Papa John’s Shaq-a-Roni Pizza with a Purpose raises more than $3 Million
In the charitable program’s second year, Papa John’s announced the company sold more than 3 million Shaq-a-Roni pizzas in 2021, raising more than $3 million for The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community.
“There is nothing more important than providing a helping hand to communities in need,” said Shaquille O’Neal, Papa John’s Board Member and franchise owner. “Our nonprofit partner organizations are addressing important causes near and dear to my heart, and I am proud of the impact we can have through the funds raised from this year’s Shaq-a-Roni sales.”
Arby's Cracks Into Spirits with Vodka Flavors Inspired by its Fries
Arby's is drawing a connection between the potatoes used in its fries and 80-proof, potato-based spirits with the creation of two new vodka flavors. The chain is well-known for selling curly fries, while the beverage play promotes the more recent addition of crinkle-cut as a permanent fixture while giving the chain a way to engage with fans via online orders and learn more about them. Arby's has expanded its menu to draw in new customers in a hyper-competitive fast food market.
Experimenting in spirits is clearly intended to get consumers and the media talking. A Twitter post teasing the drop features a poll that asks followers for their response to the vodka, with the options to answer "A: Yes," "B: Double shot of yes" and "C: Is this real?" Arby's is also supporting the move with social content curated by a celebrity chef. In offering DIY recipes, the marketer could get fans to order more of its food and share their concoctions online.

Shell to Move HQ to London
The Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) announced a proposal to simplify the company’s share structure to increase the speed and flexibility of capital and portfolio actions. The simplification is designed to strengthen Shell’s competitiveness and accelerate both shareholder distributions and the delivery of its strategy to become a net-zero emissions business.
Shell’s Chair, Sir Andrew Mackenzie, said: “At a time of unprecedented change for the industry, it’s even more important that we have an increased ability to accelerate the transition to a lower-carbon global energy system. A simpler structure will enable Shell to speed up the delivery of its Powering Progress strategy, while creating value for our shareholders, customers and wider society.”
