Cinemark is calling on all popcorn enthusiasts to participate in its first-ever “Bring Your Own Bucket” event on Sunday, January 19, 2025, celebrating National Popcorn Day. The special promotion encourages guests to bring their own popcorn containers and have them filled with Cinemark’s popular buttery popcorn for just $5.
In addition to this fun promotion, Cinemark is hosting a social media sweepstakes with exciting prizes. The theatre chain will also offer a discount on gift cards, offering more opportunities to binge on the classic binge-worthy theatre treat.

Popcorn fans who don’t plan on seeing a movie can still take advantage of the promotion. No movie ticket is required to participate. The container just needs to be clean and not exceed 400 ounces. Cinemark will also offer its classic $5 XL popcorn for those without their own container, making it easy for all to join the celebration.
In addition to the bucket promotions, Cinemark is offering an array of other perks, including a National Popcorn Day sweepstakes for a chance to win a free large popcorn. Anyone who follows Cinemark’s Instagram account and tags three friends in the comment section of the sweepstakes post will be entered in the contest.
