Contactless payment terminals are gaining momentum in the customer engagement sphere. The ease, convenience and speed at which they allow customers to complete transactions are more than enough reasons for many retailers to integrate such systems. The ability for consumers to simply swipe, tap or scan their mobile phone, and then be on their way, is an enticing prospect to most, which also explains why an increasing number of contactless payment technology providers are emerging on the scene.
In the latest bid to secure a strong foothold in this industry, AIRTAG has just announced a new partnership with Crédit Mutuel ARKEA to bring a new contactless payment customer experience to consumers all across France.
“After more than 4 years of R&D, our Cloud Based Payment Platform is now ready to hit the market and we are proud to partner with one of the most innovative banks in Europe,” said Jérémie Leroyer, AIRTAG Co-founder and CEO.
The new Crédit Mutuel ARKEA agreement will leverage AIRTAG’s AIRPASS to help financial services companies and various retailers quickly integrate a secure, simple to use and engaging customer experience.
To use AIRTAG’s AIRPASS, customers simply need to enter an activation code. After that, members will acquire a virtual mobile payment card. They can then start completing transactions at any contactless payment terminal immediately.
To further increase both ease and security, the app is also authenticated through the press of the user’s unique fingerprint.
AIRTAG, recognized as an innovative leader in the mobile shopping customer engagement ecosystem, has already established itself as a leading platform for globally recognized financial institutions and retailers across North America, The Middle East and The UK.
AIRTAG’s latest partnership with Crédit Mutuel ARKEA will further bolster the company’s quickly growing partner base, which currently includes over 35 retailers such as KFC, G20, Brioche Dorée MasterCard, ING Poland, BNP Paribas, La Banque Postale, Société Générale, Crédit Mutuel, Orange, SFR and Bouygues.
Early pilot testing in France has already proved to be successful with a number of important Crédit Mutuel ARKEA clients. Therefore, AIRTAG plans to helm a national launch in 2016.
