IMImobile Raises £30 Million on AIM Bourse

London-based mobile software and services provider IMImobile Plc on Friday raised £30 million (around Rs.300 crore) at AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s market for smaller companies, selling 25 million shares at 120 pence each. The company said it plans to invest the money in driving revenue and profit growth from the core business, exploiting new revenue opportunities in key verticals, maximizing opportunities in selected geographic markets and consolidating fragmented markets. IMImobile provides solutions to use mobile as a channel to create new revenue streams, as a customer relationship management, customer engagement channel and channel to improve business efficiency. “We are delighted with the strong support shown by investors, which we believe is a positive endorsement of IMImobile’s business model, product offering and market opportunity. Our admission to AIM represents a major step forward as we seek to capitalise on a number of high growth opportunities that exist across our geographies and markets,” said Jay Patel, chief executive officer. The company plans to continue its strategy of acquisition. “Directors have significant experience in acquiring and developing companies. The company’s subsidiaries have to date completed and integrated a number of acquisitions and the company believes that further acquisitions can be made at attractive valuations,” it said.
