TELUS recently announced the launch of a new national loyalty program, TELUS Rewards, marking the first known rewards program of its kind in the Canadian telecommunications industry. The comprehensive rewards program is designed to offer customers increased value and exclusive benefits for their continued loyalty. The tiered structure allows customers to ascend through Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels by adding more qualifying TELUS services, including Mobility, Internet, Optik TV, and SmartHome Security. The higher the tier, the more perks and elevated rewards.
Members can enjoy a variety of TELUS Perks, including international roaming passes, free Mobile Klinik screen protectors, virtual consultations with TELUS Health MyPet, and entries to exciting contests. A key feature of the program is the upcoming integration of Partner Perks, beginning with WestJet as TELUS’ first premium partner. The partnership will allow members to link accounts and earn and redeem rewards across both TELUS Rewards and WestJet Rewards, expanding the value of the program beyond telecom services into travel and lifestyle benefits. Rewards members will also be able to redeem their points from a rewards catalogue and use them towards gift cards, bill credits, contest entries, and discounts on everyday purchases and brands.
TELUS President and CEO Darren Entwistle said, “At TELUS, our customers have always been at the heart of everything we do. Our new TELUS Rewards program demonstrates our team’s unwavering commitment to putting customers first. As we continue to expand our services and welcome new customers across Canada, this program is our way of thanking our clients for choosing to be part of our TELUS family. We are thrilled to offer a rewards experience that grows with our customers, reflecting the value we place on earning their trust.”
With this refreshed national rollout, TELUS is expanding upon the success of its previous regional programs in British Columbia and Alberta and incorporating TELUS Privilèges members from Quebec. Membership now only requires one qualifying TELUS service, making it more accessible to customers across the country.
Beyond personal benefits, TELUS Rewards also offers members a way to give back. Points can be donated to the TELUS Future Friendly Foundation, which supports youth-focused Canadian charities in education and health, awards bursaries to socially conscious students in need, and provides disaster relief during times of crisis.
